7. Measures for Confidentiality Incidents

8. How Long Is Your Personal Information Retained?
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes in Section 4 or to meet legal obligations. Client files are typically destroyed or anonymized after six (6) years, while employee records are kept for at least seven (7) years post-employment.
"Anonymization" means irreversibly removing identifiers linking data to a Client.
9. How Can You Access, Correct, or Obtain a Copy of Your Personal Information?
Clients may request access, corrections, or copies of their personal information in writing (see Section 13). The Agency will respond within 30 days and may charge reasonable fees for transcription, reproduction, or transmission.
Corrections are granted if information is inaccurate, outdated, ambiguous, incomplete, or unlawfully collected. Refusals include explanations and available recourse.
10. How Can You Withdraw Consent?
You may withdraw or modify consent in writing (see Section 13), subject to contractual and legal obligations. Withdrawal may impact the Agency’s ability to provide Services.
11. How to File a Complaint?
Complaints about privacy practices may be submitted in writing to the Privacy Officer (Section 14). Responses will be provided within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
